#59 Jan 2015 Our Home on Wheels!

We have had our home on wheels since June 2013. Many of our family and friends have seen it but there are friends whom we have not connected with yet. This is a view of where we hang our hats. Our granddaughter Danica could not understand how Grama and Grampa could live in a bus until she was inside and sat on the couch as the slide went out.

This 2008 38’ Georgetown Class A motorhome is a dream come true. We have about 350 square feet of living space.

We bought a car that we could tow flat on the ground rather than one requiring a trailer.

This is the kitchen as we come in the door.

We have 3 slideouts. The 2 opposing ones in the living room make our kitchen and living space very roomy.

To the right of the kitchen is the living room, which is extended by the chairs in the driver’s compartment.

Inukshuk (polar bear) and Rainbow Bright (dragon) guard our front window.

Across from the couch is the TV, fireplace and table which we use as a computer desk.

Along the wall to the left of the front door is the 4 door fridge, slide out pantry and door to the WC (water closet / toilet). Opposite the fridge is the kitchen sink and the control panel for the slides, water, propane and battery gauges.

At the end of the hall is the bedroom door and to the right the bathroom sink. To the right of the sink is the corner shower.

On the left in the bedroom are lots of closets and drawers. The back window looks out where the car is usually parked.

The third slide is the queen size bed which is just right for us. Rose has guarded our bedroom since she welcomed us home from Hong Kong in 2008.

There is more storage over the bed. The window at the head of the bed is also the emergency exit.

The rooms are bright and open and we are very comfortable. We hope to spend many years here.
